German Army Soldbuch Stabsgefreiter Johann Huber Inf.Regt.468

Original German army Soldbuch issued to Stabsgefreiter Johann Huber of Infantry Regiment 468. Throughout most of the war Huber war attached to the 468 Regiment and served in France, operation Barbarossa and later Smolensk pocket and the battle of Kursk. From the 1st January 1945 he was attached to the Landschutz Batalion 435 who helped defend Germany from the soviets. Two illness recordings are mentioned, one for shrapnel wounds and the other for a Venereal disease (STI). Huber earned the Iron Cross second class and wound badge in black.
