Grand Duchy of Baden Framed Colour Painting Of A German Soldier

A lovely original WW1 period painting of an Imperial German soldier serving in the old Grand Duchy of Baden State (indications point to this due to his Yellow and Red ribboned award). Superbly hand painted with additional emphasis on the key details like insignia and eyes. Original frame present in gold and black. Oval painting supported by a golden mount board. One crack in the glass in the upper left corner. Some minor chips to the frame. A lovely display item. Measuring approx 37.5cm X 31cm X 2.5cm (frame dimensions).
